I am using QuickPDF library to read form a web application. The application processes the PDF files uploaded by the user. I am using the C# dll version of library to make the PDF calls. My development environment is VS 2010, Vista 64 bit
When I run the app form within VS2010 (using builtin web server casini) it works fine and reads the PDF data. But when I deploy the same application on IIS7 on the same box, The LoadLibrary call within QuickPDFDLL0721.cs fails and returns IntPtr.Zero. I examined the error code and it returns error code 193. The class library which includes includes QuickPDFDLL0721.cs is compiled with "AnyCPU" configuration. What am I doing wrong here? is this scenario supported? |

Hi shree_kotekar,
I have a similar problem to your scenario except that I don't get the error you are referring to. Have you found a solution to your problem? Setup: 1) PC - Win7 Pro 32 bit & VS2010 Pro 2) Server - Win2k8 Enterprise & IIS7 I am developing a document management solution in ASP.NET using the QuickPDF DLL version and I'm struggling to get the binaries running on the server. The DLL loads and reports all the correct diagnostics WRT to licensing etc. but it doesn't do any processing from what I can see. Here is what I've tried so far: 1) Allowed 'Everyone' access to the entire application directory. 2) Lowered UAC security and finally disabled UAC completely. 3) Setup the web application to run as 'Administrator' in its entirety. Unfortunately, I don't have a debugger available on the server and I can't debug remotely either due to the security setup... Lastly, I have deployed the exact binaries to my Win7 PC on IIS7.5 which runs perfectly, I then compared and altered the setup according to my Win7 PC with no success. Hope someone can help me with this problem? Alternatively, is there a .NET assembly I'm missing, I think that would most probably be the right solution instead of hacking and slashing the Win / IIS setup...? |
