Hello All,

I'm having problems viewing text in PDF file which I render using QuickPDF library, in DLL build.
When I open the same file in Acrobat Reader, it says there are 2 embedded subset fonts, which are TrueType and renders this file correctly.

Can somebody instruct me what special tweaks I have to do, in order to get this text rendered properly?

Thank you, any help is really appreciated.

Hello Ingo,

Thanks for your quick response.
I've tried to open the same PDF file using Delphi project, and this file gets rendered correctly.
When I use DLL version of the library in VC++2003, I don't see the text, but only images.

Is there any differences for these two library builds?

I'm really sorry, but I can't send this PDF, since it contains sensitive information. This PDF is generated on the webserver of our client.

Hi!

The last dll-version is 5.22 ... i don't know what's the version of your dcu-files. If these files are younger then there could be differences (i hope so ;-)

Cheers, Ingo

Hello Ingo,

You hope was so right :)
OK, I was using DLL version 6.04.6
And the project in Delphi was using version 5.22.
This exact PDF renders correctly if I use DLL version 5.22.
Is this a bug or just a feature?

Thanks for your help.

The version 6.04.6 was a state of developement that date - not a closed version. Version 5.22 missed new functions like aes-128-bit and digital signing but it's stable - so take it.

Hello Ingo,

It's me again. I sent you an email with PDF file attached.
I thought it's good to solve this problem in latest version of QuickPDF as well.

Thanks. Please let me know about the status of this issue.
Regards,
-wz.

I'm having exact the same problem here. My Codegear C++ project uses the QuickPDFDLL0712.dll, and the embedded font totally disappears when rendering.
Any news on this subject?
