I am trying to create simple PDF viewer. I have tried the function DARenderPageToFile but it sometimes takes more than 2 seconds per page which makes it too slow IMO.

Is there a better(faster) way for displaying the contents of a file?

Hi Hans!

Sometimes more than 2 seconds for a new page isn't too slow (for my opinion ;-)
BTW: I've also made viewer-tests. On big documents with complicated page structure you can wait more than 5 seconds.
So my opinion: QuickPDF doesn't offer a faster way. Sorry.

Cheers, Ingo

Thanks, Ingo!

2 seconds per page seems a bit on the slow side for a PDF viewer. I have the FoxIt ActiveX control and it is much faster in comparison. Unfortunately FoxIt has some other problems. That's why am looking for alternatives.

In QuickPDF you can include Ghostscript-functionality.
Read in the reference about this things.
Perhaps this could be a way for you...

Cheers, Ingo
