Checkbox in fillable Pdf

   I am trying to Fill a check box in the fillable pdf. Its not checking the check boxes.I tried  
var fieldValueSetSuccessfully = lib.SetFormFieldValueByTitle(attribute.FormFieldTitle, propertyValue);
var fieldValueSetSuccessfully = lib.SetFormFieldValue(lib.FindFormFieldByTitle(attribute.FormFieldTitle), propertyValue)

fieldValueSetSuccessfully is showing 1

I tried many different possible values for the checkboxes ( Yes, 1, On, ..)
Nothing seems to work.
