Error Printing Local Printer.

   I've come across a problem where if I PrintDocument to a local printer using it's full network path and name.  I.e. \\Server\PrinterName.  The PDF won't print and I get a document error.
However if I use the same (full) name and call PrintDocument from another computer on the network it prints fine.

Is there any way around this or am I going to have to strip the Server Name out when the process is running on the computer with the printer installed.

	Hi, for me this seems to be a normal behavior. If on my pc there isn't a network-printer like \\Server\PrinterName then i hope printout will fail ;-) With GetPrinterNames you can gather all available printer installations on each single pc. Cheers, Ingo

	Hi, I am facing very annoying problem when try to print using windows service on shared printer. I created a console application which is executed by windows service. Always get "Error-Printing" on printer properties window. Whereas when I print interactively (using windows application) printing is successful. Please help. Thanks, Ukumawat
