Enable Reader users to save form data
Ordinarily, Reader users can’t save filled-in copies of forms that they complete.
However, you can extend rights to Reader users so they have the ability to do so. These extended rights also include the ability to add comments, use the Typewriter tool, and digitally sign the PDF. 1. Open a single PDF, or select one or more PDFs in a PDF Portfolio.
2. Choose Advanced > Extend Features In Adobe Reader. These extended privileges are limited to the current PDF. When you create a different PDF form, you must perform this task again if you want to enable Reader users to save their own filled-in copies of that PDF.

Hi Maurizio!
Yes... it should be possible to do something similar with QuickPDF. QuickPDF has a lot of features supporting the things you described. Embedding javascript-code could be an important functionality for this ... B U T . . . That's pdf-developement on the highest level. You're working with QuickPDF for a few days now ... It will last years until you have a similar solution. For learning you should start smaller ;-) Cheers, Ingo |

Hi Ingo,
I'm new to Quick PDF. It have many functions, many of them I have to understand. My question was if (in QuickPDF) there is a function or a sequence of functions that can replicate the Adobe Acrobat setting > 2. Choose Advanced > Extend Features In Adobe Reader. Maurizio |

No. There isn't a single function to do this...
you can extend the rights to add comments and a lot more if the document doesn't have special protection... Please have a look at "Permissions". Cheers. Ingo Edited by Ingo - 08 Jun 09 at 7:49AM |
