Hi All!

For a customer i need to extract objects like shapes, lines, boxes, graphical logos from a document.

There's no need doing a real extract but detect all object data like type of the object, color, dimensions, ...

At first i don't need a complete solution but are there any ideas from anyone here, how i should start?

Thanks in advance for any hint and advice.

Cheers, Ingo

Hi ingo

I think it would not be possible in the state of QuickPdf, because the page  is drawn by parsing it's content without creating graphicals objects . It's just drawn on a bitmap. So individual elements are'nt save and can't be retreived.

Hi Ingo,

You could try the following:

1. Render the page to an EMF file
2. Load the EMF and enumerate it using Win32 functions

As a side note: We will also investigate the feasibility of implementing a text-based logging system for the renderer, which should give you the information you need.

Cheers,
Rowan
