I have a pdf that has a choice list.

Calling the GetFormFieldType() function for its index returns 5.
Calling the GetFormFieldChoiceType() function for its index returns 2.

However, calling the GetFormFieldValue() function doesn't return the caption of the item selected nor the index of the item selected.

How do I get the selected caption OR index from a drop-down choice form field?

Thanks for any help Smile.

Hi!

Absolutely beginner and immediately these heavy stuff ;-)
To get textcontent from formfields it's more than easy with QuickPDF.
checkbox-, radiobutton, and so on is really heavy stuff.
You shouldn't spend your time trying this if you want to begin with QuickPDF.
I'm out of office now ... if there aren't any other answers i'll post a sample i've got times ago from the author 'cause i had got similar problems ;-)
BTW: QuickPDF is a very complete and still handy sdk!

Cheers and welcome here,
Ingo

Well, I'm looking to use QuickPDF to pull data from a pdf that I create either dynamically with QuickPDF, or with another program like Adobe LiveCycle.

Before investing in the product I need to make sure it can handle the functionality I need. Is pulling data from radio buttons and drop-down lists that hard or is it just a little tricky?

A sample would be great! I'm using the QuickPDFDLL0719.dll, FYI.

Thanks again!
