Hi,

Does anyone know if Quick PDF is able to remove the Reader Extension from a PDF documment?
I have several extensions enabled PDF documents and I would like to remove the extensions as they are not necessary any more if you work with Adobe Reader XI or later.

Thank you very much.

Hi Bigun,

here you can read all about usage rights and reader extensions:
https://www.debenu.com/kb/adobe-reader-extensions-usage-rights/

To remove the usage rights on the pdf use this:
https://www.debenu.com/docs/pdf_library_reference/RemoveUsageRights.php

Normally it should be enough to load, decrypt and save the pdf again to remove the adobe specialities...

After saving PDF with the SaveToFile function, I kind of lock the PDF for editing.

Can I save the PDF to be editable ?

Hi Eran,

do you speaking about a pdf form or what's the problem?
Do you speak about an existing main- or user-password?
A short answer to your question is: Yes ;-)
You should post always a relevant code snippet regarding your problem.
A more detailed description about your issue can help as well ;-)
And it's always better to open a new thread for your new issue...
