I am using MergeFileListFast to merge pdfs in batches of 1000.

It looks like the fonts for each file are merged and not netted out (all documents use the same fonts). So if the documents are 2mb the merged file is 2000mb (or there abouts).

Any ideas for handling this?

Thanks for responding.

ReplaceFonts isn't an option in this case as they are not standard.

I'm not sure about CompressFonts. Obviously that would need to be done when the pdf files are created. What are the disadvantages of compressing fonts?

It still leaves the issue as to the fact that if there are 1000 pdf's merged into one file there seems to be 1000 versions of the same font installed. But I could be wrong.
