We use QuickPDF to generate an acroform, i.e. one containing a number of text fields, using calls to "NewFormField" etc.

Our users are out in the 'wild', presumably using Acrobat Reader.

When they get hold of our PDF (we could potentially host it online or perhaps mail it to them), we want to capture the content they have entered into our form fields, and relay that to our server. A Javascript solution appears to be required. By far the ideal solution for us it to receive their submission via http. Alternatively, via email.

Has anyone succeeded with this using QuickPDF?

Perhaps using:
 - AddLinkToWeb,
 - or "FormFieldJavaScriptAction" associated with a button form field?
 - or Javascript "this.submitform"?
 - or Javascript "this.exportastext"?

Once we have the content submitted over http, we have the know-how to parse headers etc and the solution will be straightforward. The challenge is to get the PDF out there in the wild to communicate the form field content to our server. Perhaps the PDF must be hosted in a browser?

Is this possible? Or impossible?

Any tips / ideas would be welcome :-)

Cheers,
Nick
