Howdy,

I am using the sample code from the Knowledge Base article, "Programmatically render PDF files in Windows Forms with .Net and C# to view pdfs in a windows form app. Pdfs that were created via scanning are rendered as expected. However, some of our pdfs are text reports that were printed to a windows printer driver that uses Redmon to essentially pipe the text stream into ghostscript to produce the pdf. The resulting image produced by RenderPageToDC for these types of pdf files is always blank. RenderPageToDC returns a success exit code. I am using v8.16 x64 of the quickpdf library. I suspect that RenderPageToDC only works on the image of a page and ignores the text. If true, maybe what I need to do is somehow convert the text to an image.
Thanks for your help.

You may need to send us the PDF file as it could be crashing halfway through the rendering process.  There are many malformed PDF files in the wild that will even crash Acrobat.

Ray,

The problem was related to a 64 bit zlib compression bug in QPL that has now been fixed and the PDF is rendering with 9.15 beta 3 due to be released soon.

Andrew.
