I have finally gotten the base version of a project I am working on finished and noticed that the PDF that is being produced is about 5MB even after trying the various compression options.
I thought I would see how much the size was changed if I did not embed the True Type fonts I am using and instead used the system fonts. This did result in a significant reduction in the size of the file from 5.6MB to 35K, but any where I have specified the text alignment to be centered the text is not actually centered. It looks like an attempt was made to center it, but it didn't quite make it. It works fine with true type fonts, but not with the system fonts.
Has anyone else experienced this? If you have, how did you fix it?
Thank You,
Darrell

Hi Darrell!
It seems you did embed the truetype font on each page? This isn't necessary. Embed it ones and then clone the page. This will reduce the size and you has your truetype font.
Cheers, Ingo

Actually, the document is only one page long. I am just using Arial and Times New Roman so I am thinking about just using the fonts and not embedding. It should be okay on Windows machines, but I am not sure how Macs and Linux machines will handle it. Not to mention Android phones...
