Subject: Poor Resolution on Win2008

I have an application written in D7, using the latest version of QuickPDF library to display .Pdf files.  When the application runs on Win2003 Server, it looks crisp and clear.  When the application runs on Win2008 server, the .Pdfs display very rough and pixilated, as if the resolution is bad.  I open the same .pdf that shows poorly in QuickPDF Library, in a viewer such as Nuance PDF Viewer, and the image is sharp and clear on Windows 2008 server.  So, it seems to be something going on with QuickPDF Library and Windows 2008.

Is there some setting I should make in my Windows 2008 server, to allow QuickPDF Library to display properly?  Or, do I have to make some change in the QuickPDF compoenent itself to make the image clearer?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Red!

I think on your win2008 server the gdi+ is missing?

I had my I.T. Guru exam our install of Win2008 Server, and GDI+ is definitely installed.  Could there be some other cause for the poor resolution?   On Win2003 Server it works great, nice and crisp, high res... and, all other .Pdf viewers, showing the same file, show high res, crisp and clear.  Only QuickPDF Library is showing as low res, barely readable, and not in color.  (I'm displaying color .Pdfs)

Any further suggestions?

Is there a different version of GDI+ on server 2008 than on server 2003? Maybe the version difference is your problem. Make sure you have the latest and greatest installed on server 2008.
