Does someone have explanation on deletepages function than does not remove the requested pages , but just emptying them...

Can i do a loop to remove on a page per page basis without saving the file between two deletions?

The return parm from deletepages is still 0

i used deletepages (j,1) where j is my loop index

context : pdflib 7.26, vb.net

Thanks in advance

Rgds
Eric

Hi Eric!

DeletePage works. Perhaps your document has only one remaining page and you wanna delete it. This isn't possible 'cause a pdf-document needs at least one page. The other way round it's so that there's no need after creating a new document to add a first page 'cause the first one will be created automatically.

Ingo,

Thanks for your reply.

I thought that i tried to remove too many pages, and after checked, no.

the way i run, it's first create a working copy before delete pages, and deleting in the copy file.

Initially i suspected that looping from 1  to end will crash, because each deleted page will change the end limit ..

so i loop from end to 1 and still the same, in fact deletepages clear the pages, but the original document have 8 pages, each copy files is also 8 pages but only correct pages are not blank, other are blank..

There probably a big mistake that i don't see ;-)

Thks for your help

Cheers,
Eric
