I need to place some "invisible" text within my PDF files, but cannot quite manage it with Quick PDF Library (8.11).

I have tried to use SetTransparency(100), which makes the text invisible when viewing the PDF files. However when viewing the text properties (e.g. using Acrobat), the fill color of the text is still set to a color = the text is visible when printed (note: on some printers - on other printers the text is still invisble when printed).

Are there any way that I can set the text color (fill) to "no color" to ensure that it is not visible in any viewer and not printed on any printer?

Hi m_kc!

It seems to me that you want to insert hidden text-signatures ...
Why not use:
SetCustomInformation
GetCustomInformation
for this job?
Please read here:

Only an idea... ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion.

However, I need to add the "invisible" text on each page, since my printing company requires this information to be present on each page in order to process the print job correctly, so unfortunately I am unable to place the information/text in (custom) information fields.

You could place the text outside the margins of the page.  It should still be picked up by your printer but it will never be printer or viewed.

You would need to make sure the text is placed outside the CropBox and the MediaBox.

Hi Andrew,

Good suggestion - I should work since the printing company does not print to edge but leaves a 5mm unprintable margin in which the text can be placed.

Best Regards,
Morten
