Hi,

I'm using VB.Net. To avoid the need to update references to QPL when I upgrade next time I have renamed the dll from "QuickPDFDLL0812.dll" to "QuickPDFDLL.dll". I have also changed the name of the VB.Net import file and the associated Namespace to QuickPDF.

I intend on doing the same renaming when I upgrade. Am I safe in doing this?

Thanks,
Dan

So long as you rename the DLL and the import file at the same time for each version you should be ok.

I find that once you have learned to update it once then the next time is quite easy.  Just remove the old import file, add the new one and change a couple of 8.xx strings to 8.xx + 1.  The compiler complains if you miss something.

Andrew.

Ok, I'll stick with renaming the dll and import file/namespace because that will involve fewer changes for my situation. I'm going to have dozens of references to the library.

Thanks,
Dan
