Does anyboy have encountered a pdf, where extractfilepagetext returns no text ?

I thought it was an image, but when opening with Acrobat reader, i can select part of the text, so it's defined as text in the file.

I use extractfilepagetext since a while, but it's first time i found a text returning "nothing"...

any idea is welcome ;-)

Hi Eric!

It's not often but sometimes this issue still can raise.
Mostly the reason is the creator of the document.
For example if internally an old version of the ghostscript-
library was used. Older versions of the PDF Creator (before
8.15) are a candidate for this behavior.
You can't do anything against it. Sorry.
BUT... it's always good to send these files to the official
support pages... so perhaps one day... ;-)

Cheers, Ingo

Ingo,

Thanks for your reply;

I was thinking such a thing.

file infos are
done by Adobe inDesign CS3 (5.0),
Pdf conversion tool : Adobe pdf library 8.0
Pdf release 1.6

Does this fit with your known "incompatible" cases?

Hi Eric!

This is new for me :-(
Is it an ebook? ...This could be a reason.
If not... please upload your pdf with a description via the official upload pages.

Cheers, Ingo

Take the official support pages.
I've posted the link already in a few older threads.

Cheers, Ingo
