We can see that in the VB.NET section two types OCX and DLL.

What are the differences in these usage wise? We have a console application that does not have a UI (though can add one if helpful).

Also wondering if their is an advantage of using one over the other in a 64-bit environment.

Like does the DLL work as I know the OCX does not.

Thanks!

If your application 32-bit or 64-bit? This makes a big difference if the DLL will work or not.

32-bit. Gets installed on 64bit as WOW app.

The DLL works fine on a 64-bit OS.  I use it in conjunction with a 32-bit service my company created. So no  visuals for my application and it works great. I had a couple of issues at first with Server 2008 r2, but Debenu fixed them. Use the latest release to make sure you have the fixes.

Thanks for your response.

Debenu support asked me to use TCP edition for 64-bit for now. They said they are working on something else for 64-bit support to be released later.

I managed to move over to the TCP edition and that seems to work fine even for the 7.15 edition both on 32 or 64 bit. Bit of a hassle for installing but I was able to get it bundled as part of my app so happy for now!
