I'm wondering if QuickPDF can convert a word file to a pdf file? If yes, how can I do that ?

Please could you show me the way. Thanks so much !

Hi!

First: QuickPDF offers a huge number of functions to create, change and modify pdf-files.
There are other pdf-sdks doing the same. Some with less functions some with more functions and so on. There's no sdk out there offering an automatic pdf to word convertion or the other way round.
There are few solutions out there (to buy) converting word to pdf and (better) pdf back to word. It's not easy developer stuff. It's deep, deep inside of pdf. It won't be possible to describe/show a complete solution here in this environment and if you want to start with QuickPDF it's better to start with "Hello world" as to start with a high-end-pdf-component ;-)
There are open source pdf printer driver converting word to pdf in an automatic way like FreePDF (my favourite) and PDFCreator...

See my post "QuickPDF... The first steps" in the general section of this forum.

Cheers and welcome here,
Ingo

My friend often works with doc files. He opened and started working with his document but something happened. He lost whole data. Luckily he told me this incident some days ago. I advised him a tool - how to recover word files. And to my and his great surprise it relieved him quite easy. Today I have used it too and I'm glad...

If you are using Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft has a free download for an addin which will allow you to save the document as a PDF.

Just a thought

You can use MS Word automation to convert a Word document to a PDF. I implemented exactly that process as a command line argument option in one of my software packages.
