As title, but not use the "GetCanvasDC" function. I want to copy pdf to a frame and let the user to do some edit on the words and images, but the "GetCanvasDC" function just copys the pdf image. I try to extract the text and image from a pdf file, but there still something I can't get, like the "QuickPDF LIBRARY" at the top of "GettingStarted.pdf." Further more, I think I can't extract everything I can't get by the "pdf selection tool." Is there any method to extract these object from a pdf file?Confused

Hi Gary!

Editing text right into the pdf-document is really hard stuff!
Sorry... but you won't succeed doing this.

You can extract the complete text, the pictures, the layout informations and you can change all this in an external environment (edit- and picture-controls of your ide) and then you can arrange this to a new pdf-document. But you won't succeed doing this directly into the original pdf.
BTW: Here's the complete function overview:

See the post "the first steps..." in the general section, too.

Cheers and welcome,
Ingo

I'm sorry I don't express my question clearly. My purpose is to show pdf by other app like Microsoft Word and let users to edit it. But there still something I can't extract, like the "QuickPDF LIBRARY" logo. I would like to know if it's something like a background image or a object source.

thanks.
