Hi!

Currently working on a project in which I need to write some JavaScript for several different document events. I could successfully set the alert window for "document open" in event. however, when I try to embed multi-line JavaScript, the Quick PDF library fails to perform the task. No JavaScript is added to PDF. Furthermore I'm not at all able to use other functions related to the document action events of PDF.

It is always been frustrating to see no real good examples demonstrate different functions of this DLL. Is there anybody who has done this or anything similar to this before? I'm writing this code in Visual Basic 6.0 programming language.

Eagerly waiting for your reply...

Thanks and best regards,

Ruturaaj.

Hi!

Perhaps the older post from Chicks can help a bit:

In the QuickPDF-library-demo there's also a small sample...

Cheers, Ingo

Thanks for your reply. I will try the code posted on mentioned link.
You said, there is a small sample in Demo of Library. I'm sorry, I must have missed it.
Can you please tell me under which programming language?

Hi!

I mean the demo-app from Debenu to give a first impression about what you can do with the lib. I think i've posted the link in the general section here in a thread like "first steps" or something similar...
I'm out of office now.

Cheers, Ingo

Just tested the code for Printing and it worked; but when I attempted to add the same JavaScript to the Document Close action via DocJavaScriptAction function. I used "DC" for action parameter. The thing is actually no JavaScript is getting added to the Document Close event. I've NitroPDF installed on my machine and I opened the resulting PDF in NitroPDF. It has "Forms" tab where it shows all document level javascripts. I'm not able to see my JavaScript code there; so I think no JavaScript is added to the Document Close event or at least it's not compatible with the PDF Standards and definitions.

Please check it out. Add simple Alert on Document Close event ...

oQP.DocJavaScriptAction "DC", "app.alert('Thanks for reading this PDF.');"

This code didn't work for me ... let me know if you get any better results...

BTW, I'm using Adobe Reader 9.2 to view the PDF.

Hi!

Sorry, but i think we won't check it out.
Seems that nobody from the users here has enough experiences in this case so you should post your probs on the official support-pages. Please have a look at my thread in the general section:
