I have read a previous posting that someone lost data they entered into the fields of a form due to QuickPDF not being compatible with XML-based forms.  I have encountered an issue that may similiar but I am not sure.

I have VB script applications that apply signature graphics onto PDF documents containing field data already entered and saved by a user.  These forms were created by another agency, and their newest ones lose the user entered field data after I apply the signature image and issue a save.   Is this most likely due to the same XML type issue?  I have happily used this product for years, but is there another product that can handle XML-based forms?  Thanks for any help with this.

Well, I tried looping through the form fields and flattening each of them.  This brings the field data back into the documents, but the text itself is rather poor looking.  Some of the document's text that is nearby the field text is sometimes even overlapped.  I'm guessing that I'm still missing something with these newer PDF documents.  If anyone has an idea that I could try that may better format the field text after flattening I would really appreciate it.  If I locate another product that handles this better I will post it.  Thanks,

Hi John!

Is it possible for you to send the form with inserted data (without your signature), the form with your appended signature and the one after you flattened the fields?
Please send it to:
ingo -dot- schmoekel -at- ewetel -dot- net
Thanks. Perhaps we can help or explain the things that happens.

Cheers, Ingo
