I am currently writing a wrapper function to accept a HTML table as a string and "draw" the table.  My preliminary solution does not accept anything other than <table><tr><td> and closing tags.

Before I continue to add borders=, align=, and the currently accepted html tags ( ie <BR>, <I>, etc. ), I was wondering if anyone has been pursuing this.

I use autoIt, a highly versitile and powerful little language for the financially impaired.  After that, I mainly develop in Javascript and VBScript.  So, my code might not be of use - but the logic might help beginners (LIKE ME!)

So, had anyone been down this road?
