difference between DrawText and Printer.Print

   Hi all,i'm sorry for the silly question.

IDE: VB6

I am printing a file of 30 lines.

printing with Printer.Print I get a file in the spool of 25,3KB

printing with quickPdf I get a file in the spool of 169 Kb

My setting are:

    Set oPdf = New PDFLibrary
    If oPdf.UnlockKey(LICENSEKEY) = False Then
        Exit Function
    End If

    Call oPdf.NewDocument
    Call objPdf.SetPageSize(IIf(pPdfPage.bOrizzontale, "A4 Landscape", "A4"))
    Call objPdf.SetOrigin(1)
    Call objPdf.SetMeasurementUnits(1)
    Call objPdf.AddStandardFont(pPdfPage.iFontName)
    Call objPdf.SetTextSize(pPdfPage.dSize)

and I have sostitute the old Printer.Print this procedure:

Public Sub gPdfRiga(ByVal pText As String)
Static yPos As Double

    If PRN_CTR = 0 Then
        yPos = 0
    End If

    yPos = yPos + CDbl(oPdf.GetTextHeight)
    Call oPdf.DrawText(7, yPos, pText)
    PRN_CTR = PRN_CTR + 1

End Sub

you're doing something wrong? or the file must be of such size?

	Currently with Quick PDF Library, when you print the PDF, the file is converted to a bitmap image before being sent to the printer and this is why the spool file is so large. We are looking into options to improve the spool file size but this won't happen until after 8.14 is released.
