Hello all,
I try to create a searchable PDF with one visible layer (a tif image) and one hidden layer (the words, which I found using an OCR). Everthing's fine so far but one problem persists: I have an image, which e.g. contains one sentence written in "Courier New". Using the OCR, I receive the characters, the words and their boundaries but not the font type and it's size. Now, when painting the words on the hidden (text-)layer, using "QP.DrawRotatedText" in e.g. "Helvetica" font (remember, I don't know that the image text is written in "Courier New"), the word boundaries on this layer will not be the same as the ones on the imagelayer. That's because "Courier New" is a wider font than "Helvetica" is. This problem comes up, when one is selecting some text in a PDF-viewer. Is there any solution for this problem? Thanks for help! Regards, Dirk |
