Author: Ingo
Subject: 818
Posted: 23 Nov 07 at 3:28AM

Hi!

The missing feature "128 bit de-/encryption with AES" in QuickPDF is for me very importantly 'cause my tools are working on already created pdf-documents and the pdf-specs 1.5, 1.6, ... aren't new anymore ;-)

Now i've found a dll-package at www.adultpdf.com to decrypt all pdf-documents (128 bit/aes, too). It's called "PDF Password Recovery
COM/SDK (Client/Server)". There's an encryption package, too. The developers told me that the package doesn't work on 64-bit-systems.

With the help of Dave (mrgcms) i know now that it works on 64-bit-systems, too. So it can be a good solution for many of us... and a small one ... the necessary dll has only 146 kb.

I've feared that 32 bit dlls doesn't work on 64 bit systems... I've learned that's not a real problem. Vista for example offers a directory %windir%\system32 for 64-bit-components and %windir%\syswow64 for 32-bit-components.

Best regards,
Ingo
