Hi Phil!

Few weeks ago i've mailed with Uli in this case...
Replacing text in a pdf-document isn't easy. You need much functionality from a pdf-reader. It's not only replace... it's unencrypt... again encrypt... text can be in objects and not between the "normal" text-tags... There are many things you have to keep in mind when replacing.

For my understanding it's ReplaceTag and not ReplaceText ;-)
ReplaceTag can replace the tag of beginning textcontent  or other objects inside a pdf-document.

Does anyone know if it's possible to directly replace text in a PDF?  Looking at the help file, ReplaceTag certainly looks promising; but when I use it, however nothing happens.  The following code
 
QP.SelectPage 1
QP.ReplaceTag "Original text>", "<New text>"
 
is ineffectual and the only way I have at the moment of replacing text is to draw a white box that covers up the existing text and then draw new text on top of that.
 
Is there a trick to getting ReplaceTag to work, or does it perhaps not apply to all text in the PDF?  If the latter is true, they is it possible to directly replace text in a PDF?
