After further investigation, the culprit appears to be SetTableRowHeight(). 
  • If I don't call this function, the text in the table is formatted perfectly, but the rows are too high for the text. 
  • If I set the height of the rows to 4mm, all the text is wiped, except for merged cells.
  • If the height is 5mm, some of the text is wiped and some remains. There's no obvious difference between the text that is wiped and that that remains.
  • At 6mm, all of the text remains, but the rows are too high.

I have created a 4x7 table that looks fine, except that the font is too large.  When I add the line:
 
   DPLSetTableCellTextSize InstanceID, TableID, 1, 1, 4, 7, 8
 
to set the font size to 8pt, the contents are wiped from all the cells - except for the merged cells.  The contents of the merged cells are correctly resized.
 
Any ideas what's going on?
