Hi Mick!

This is not to be extra allowed - it works always
if there aren't security options set which you always know.
If the pdf is loaded and decrypted with/in QuickPDF then extraction is possible and not to prevent.
There are other types of pdf who can prevent it but that's another thing.

I have noticed a difference in Acrobat Reader 9 between what you see in the Document Properties dialog box Security Tab and what shows in the Document Security dialog box (you get to this by clicking the "Show Details" button on the Security tab. Also, what encryption level are you using? maybe there is a bug in encrypting using whatever level you are using.
