Something goes wrong...
 
If I use DAExtractPageText($filehandle, $pagehandle,0) on the extracted new pdf... I got content Like this:
 
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
??????????????????????###?????%%%%%%
&amp;????????????(((())))))*#?????????????
??????????+++++++++???????????++++???????????????
 
The same Script on the Original File extract the plain text without problems :/
 
Maybe I should try to re-install Quick PDF ;)

the script which creates the Thumbnails is a different script

It creates perfekt thumbnails of the original pdf, but in the extracted pdf pages (new pdf), there is no Text in the thumbnails :/

Hi!

If you're doint it in one run then that's the problem.
ExtractFilePages is a normal function... Don't mix these normal functions with DA-functions!
If you need this DA-function then you should create the thumbnails in a second process.

I used ExtractFilePages() to create a new pdf file with a selection of pages from another pdf file
 
This works fine, a new PDF with the selected pages is available, and Adobe Acrobat displays the new pdf correctly
 
But, if i now make thumbnails of the new pdf with DARenderPageToFile(), then I have no text in the thumbnails! So the thumbnail contains images und other objects, but No Text :/
 
If I make thumbnails from the original pdf, from which the new pdf was extracted, it works fine!
 
I tried another program to extract images of each page (ghostscript on the commandline). And here I got page thumbnails WITH text of the original and the extracted pdf... Only QuickPDF has no text in the thumbnails of the pdf, which QuickPDF has extracted.
 
Has anyone an idea how I can fix this?
