My point: You won't be able to render aes-128-bit-documents ;-)

Hi Ingo,

Sad news, as I hoped to be able to tune the performance with respect to the new multi-core cpu's out now everywhere. Yes, I use 5.22 in a commercial product. It fit's my needs so far and I did not have had any problems.

I mostly need the RenderPageToString() function and it still works fine. What will be the benefits to me by using V7? Especially, if it is not threadsafe? Will it be able to render JPEG2000/JBIG2 images inside a pdf (this has been the only reported problems for me)?

Hi Ku!

No... It's not threadsafe.
So if you have to work with many files you should wait for the resulting value of a function before initiating the next call.
Even if the newest version isn't threadsave i can hardly believe that you're still working with version 5.22 ... It's not a commercial work?

Hi,

I use version V5.22.0.119 and wonder why I'm not able to call functions out of threads without crashing the program. Each time I call some QuickPDF functions out of threads, the library crashes. Is it not threadsafe?

Is there a threadsafe compiled version of V5.22.0.119 available?

And what about the new V7 version? Is it threadsafe?

Is there a later version than V5.22.0.119 that is covered by my licence (from 2006)?
